Join us Saturday, September 12 at 9:30 for conversation with fellow Democrats and our endorsed candidates . At this meeting we are collecting food items for Coldwater to provide No Hungry Kids! Food Packs to the Lee's Summit School District early education programs and elementary/middle schools.
"Coldwater provides 300 food-insecure students who might otherwise go hungry on the weekend with a weekend food source each school year. This program provides 9,600 food packs containing around 30,000 pounds of nutritious food. Each food pack includes breakfast items, canned and packaged meals, milk boxes, fruit/applesauce cups, and snacks. Volunteers prepare these food packs on Thursdays during the school year and distribute them to the schools."
They need the following items for the backpacks.
Creamy peanut butter 16 oz jars
Microwavable pasta with meat cups
Mac & cheese cups
Milk boxes, individual servings, no refrigeration needed
Fruit cups
Applesauce cups/pouches
Cereal bars (like Nutrigrain)
Fruit snacks
Granola bars
Oatmeal packets

Come out and knock doors for candidates up and down the ballot!
We’re also building out the office and could use your help! If you’re able to donate, here are a few items on our wish list:
• Paper towels & toilet paper
• Bottled water
• Cleaning supplies (toilet wand, disinfecting spray, bathroom cleaner)
• Snacks
• Reams of printer paper
• Rubber bands (size 64 & size 33)
• Small file cabinets
For larger items like desks, chairs, or tables, please check with us before bringing them in.
